Health care executive and Republican strategist Michael Johns today said that Democratic Presidential nominee Barrack Obama's plan to vastly expand the role of the federal government in American health care is likely to reduce, not increase, competitive pressures among health care payers, resulting in a reduction of quality health care access and potentially even the ultimate rationing of health care services, as has happened in other countries with similar nationalized health care systems.
On the other hand, the health care plan of presumptive Republican Presidential nominee John McCain, Johns said, will greatly expand consumer engagement and competitive market forces in health care, leading to enhancements in the quality of care, access to care, and a reduction of overall health care costs.
Johns will discuss the merits of the McCain proposal this evening on BlogTalkRadio's Warren Michaels show. read more...

The narrative about exactly who Michelle Obama is has started to gel lately, and the picture we are seeing is quite disturbing. It seems to this conservative that Michelle Obama has held black separatist views for most of her adult life, and probably even earlier. With Michelle, and quite possibly her husband, everything it seams… is Black and White.

They are words that strike fear in the hearts of voters: the Republican Hate Machine, the Republican Smear Machine, Swift Boating, Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy. The tactics these words represent are used to play on our fears, to divide us and polarize us. They could only be the tools of the corrupt, right-wing fear mongers, war mongers who rely on the politics of fear and hate. Such people do America a disservice. They are cynical, cold. They are, in short, monsters. So it is so sad that in looking at the recent race for the Democratic presidential nomination one thing has become very clear: We are all monsters, now.
